| Ireland Players to Watch Out For |
|
Ireland team is taking its initial steps into the world of international cricket. It has been fed with much salubrious experiences from the ICC and other European Tournaments as a result it looks quite a healthy team for its infancy.
It would obviously be superfluous to say that Ireland is going into the World Cup 2007 to make the most of the experience. It knows that there is little to be gained by simply remaining a passive recipient and a wealth of experience to be lost unless participation is accompanied by the desire to excel. Such ambitions will lose meaning if the following players do not perform well for Ireland.
Edmund Christopher "Ed" Joyce
He is the best player in the side. Ed Joyce has represented England in a Twenty20 match. He also plays county cricket for Middlesex. Ed Joyce has an amazing average of 84.22 runs from fourteen matches in ICC Trophy. He has also played matches for England A team.
Andre Botha
Andre Botha rose into the limelight after scoring a fighting 52 against England in Ireland's first ODI. Besides being a talented batsman, he is also an able bowler.
David Trent Johnston
David Johnston is captain of the Irish team. He is a nippy bowler and usually opening the Irish pace attack.
