Cricket Matches being an aggressive sport, requires the batsmen to score and make runs as fast as possible. So while these batsmen strive to make runs at a high-speed they many a times cross the milestone of half century i.e a score of 50 runs. Players who reach this mark in the least time possible create a record of Fastest 50s.
At the 2003 World Cup, Brian Lara scored 73 runs in 23 balls against Canada that helped him gain the top spot in the Fastest 50s record. Wavell Hinds, John Davison and Andy Blignaut hold the second, third and forth position in the league of Fastest 50s scored at different World Cup matches.
