The test debut, when it came in late 1995 against England, and the few test matches that followed did little to justify the immensity of the talent Jacques Kallis possessed. Jacques Kallis moved his way to stardom with some superlative performances. In 2004, Jacques Kallis equaled Don Bradman's record of five consecutive centuries in test cricket. The following year he set a record for the fastest fifty in test cricket when he scored a 22-ball fifty against Zimbabwe. Jacques Kallis averages staggering 55 in cricket and has taken over 200 wickets. He is easily the best all-rounder in the test cricket at present and receives no challenge to this title save from Andrew Flintoff of England. In 2005 Jacques Kallis was awarded the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for the ICC player of the year. He also won the ICC player of the Year in the same year.
