A top class performer with both bat and ball, Roger Binny was one of the key players for India. His test career, which spanned over 14 years, was studded with many brilliant displays of cricketing talents. His tally of 18 wickets in the World Cup in 1983 was the highest in the tournament for a long time. Roger Binny made news as a domestic cricket player, when in 1977-78 he shared a 451 runs first wicket partnership with Sanjay Desai. Roger Binny's share in the partnership was 211 runs. Roger Binny usefulness as a bowler cannot be denied. His nagging accuracy and ability to swing both ways fetched him 205 first class wickets.
