One of the most stylish and effortless players of the game today, Damien Martyn has indeed evolved from a hasty 21 year old to a composed, dependable match winner. Damien Martyn has indeed come a long way. After making his debut in 1992, Martyn lost his side in the squad after his extravagant style of batting cost him his wicket many a times. He worked his way back into the side by playing for and consequently captaining Western Australia. After the very disappointing 2005 Ashes series in England, Martyn finally lost his place in the side, only to be picked again for the South Africa tour.
